BIO: BERNARD WERTHAN
A lifelong Nashvillian, Bernard Werthan has been a community activist and social justice proponent for most of his adult life. The man with the vision that resulted in the creation of Family of Abraham, Bernard saw the need for an organization to advance understanding through conversations, speakers and educational forums. A grassroots group which represents the three Abrahamic faiths and others, FOA champions religious freedom, fosters diversity and promotes a more inclusive community. Below is a mere sampling of Bernard’s community involvement:

The meeting will introduce the group to the Family of Abraham (FoA), a group of Nashvillians representing the three Abrahamic faiths and other religious traditions, who seek to advance understanding through conversation, speakers and education forums. Three members of the FoA organizing committee, Daoud Abudiab, Bernard Werthan and Mary Pat Silveira, will speak about the group's mission and purpose.
