and we are privileged to have the opportunity to hear from two leaders from the Latino community, Yuri Cunza and Mario Ramos.

Yuri Cunza is a Hispanic-American media professional, business leader and community advocate. Cunza currently serves as President and CEO of the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Spanish language newspaper La Noticia (Hispanic Paper Publishing). He is owner and founder of Y&K, a strategic media solutions, support & consulting services company based in Nashville, Tennessee.  


Since 2010 Cunza has been named every year to the Nashville Post's "In Charge" list of business leaders who are writing Music City's success story. 


Cunza is a supporter and advocate of humanitarian causes, including HIV/AIDS, immigration, and finding a resolution for the socio-economic disparities of minority populations in the U.S. He is co-founder of The NAHCC Foundation which was established in 2008 to advance educational opportunities for Hispanic youth and to inspire children interest in future discoveries and technologies to combat issues that force families and individuals into economic despair.


Yuri Cunza is a board member of several local, regional and national non-profit organizations, and serves on the Tennessee Advisory Committee for the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and The Partnership for a New American Economy.

He has attended the Mendoza School of Business at University of Notre 

Dame and Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government. He plans to work towards earning an MBA beginning in 2016.
